Epiphany

Is celebrated on the twelfth day of Christmas, when the figures of the Wise Men are added to the crib.

Epiphany is a season in which the revelation of Christ's glory is celebrated not only in the story of the Wise Men or Magi; but celebrates the baptism of Christ and the changing of water into wine at Cana and ends with the Presentation of Christ in the Temple (Candlemas).

This festival is traditionally marked during a service by a procession with candles marking a turning point in the Christian year, as all blow out their candles and turn from the joy of Christmas and Epiphany to the darker days that lie ahead.
